EXPERIENCE, HELD WITH HUMANITY
Dr Siddick &
the Olive Creek Team
Olive Creek is guided by Dr Siddick Maudarbocus and a multidisciplinary team united by one belief: meaningful care begins by understanding the person, not simply the condition.
Medical insight, Ayurvedic tradition, therapeutic support and thoughtful hospitality come together within a calm residential setting where every guest is treated with dignity, discretion and genuine attention.
Dr Siddick Maudarbocus
A Life Devoted to Healing
Dr Siddick Maudarbocus is a respected Mauritian medical practitioner and specialist in addiction medicine whose work spans more than four decades.
Qualified in Dublin and trained in London, he has gained extensive experience in conventional Western medicine while developing a deep understanding of complementary and traditional systems of care.
His expertise includes Ayurveda, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, energy medicine and psychological medicine. This broad foundation allows him to consider physical symptoms alongside emotional wellbeing, lifestyle, personal history and the pressures shaping a person’s everyday life.
His approach begins with something simple but increasingly rare: the time to listen properly.
Seeing the Person Beyond the Condition
A diagnosis can provide direction, but it does not always explain the full experience of being unwell.
Sleep, stress, nourishment, movement, relationships, medication and emotional strain can all influence how a person feels and responds to treatment.
Dr Siddick’s philosophy looks beyond symptoms in isolation. He considers the wider mind-body-spirit connection and how different aspects of a person’s life may be affecting their wellbeing.
This does not mean replacing necessary medical care. It means looking more carefully at the individual receiving it.
Every recommendation is shaped around the person, their present needs and what can realistically support them beyond the consultation or retreat.
Experience Across Medicine and Integrative Care
Dr Siddick’s professional journey has taken him across conventional medicine, addiction recovery and a wide range of complementary disciplines.
His work has supported individuals facing chronic health concerns, persistent pain, stress-related conditions, emotional difficulties and dependency or addiction.
He is also the driving force behind the LARA programme in Mauritius, where he develops and oversees its therapeutic approach and treatment protocols. His understanding of addiction medicine is informed not only by clinical knowledge, but by years of working closely with people and families during some of the most difficult periods of their lives.
This combination of medical credibility, adaptability and human understanding continues to shape his work today.
From Les Mariannes to Olive Creek
Before Olive Creek, Dr Siddick founded Les Mariannes Wellness Sanctuary in Mauritius.
It became known for bringing medical insight and holistic therapies together within a discreet residential setting, welcoming guests from Mauritius, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and further afield.
The experience gained through Les Mariannes helped refine Dr Siddick’s understanding of what people need when they step away from everyday life to focus on their health.
Olive Creek is the natural evolution of that vision.
It carries forward the same commitment to integrative, personalised care while introducing a calmer and more intimate environment with Ayurveda at the centre of its philosophy.
A Personal Philosophy
“Healing is a flow. Energy is a flow. When you add intent, the natural outcome is radiant health.”
For Dr Siddick, healing has never been about treating symptoms alone.
It is about helping people return to a greater sense of balance, dignity and hope.
That philosophy can be felt throughout Olive Creek, from the programmes developed and the practitioners selected to the amount of time given to each guest.
The aim is not to force transformation or promise an instant solution.
It is to create the right conditions for meaningful change to become possible.
THE VISION
The Vision Behind Olive Creek
Olive Creek was created for people who need more than a treatment appointment or a brief wellness escape.
It is a place where accommodation, nourishment, consultations, therapies and rest are brought together around one individual.
There are no one-size-fits-all programmes.
A guest may arrive needing deep rest, emotional support, help managing prolonged stress, guidance around a chronic health concern or time to recover after illness or treatment.
Under Dr Siddick’s leadership, the programme begins by understanding that person’s story and deciding what form of care is appropriate for them now.
Wellbeing should feel intelligent, compassionate and deeply human.
